Breast cancer among men is rare in men in the United States. According to the CDC, breast cancer in men accounts for approximately 1% of the breast cancer diagnoses, with about 2,300 new cases yearly.
According to breastcancer.org, in 2021, approximately 2,650 men are expected to be diagnosed with the disease, and an estimated 530 men are expected to die from breast cancer. For men, the lifetime risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer is about 1 in 833.
